New Macaw Show for Animal Kingdom
Yesterday Disney announced that there would be a new animal experience at Animal Kingdom. “Winged Encounters — The Kingdom Takes Flight” will debut this June.
It will feature six types of macaws (hyacinth, green-winged, blue and gold, scarlet, blue-throated and military) flying over the park near and around Discovery Island. Animal Kingdom will feature stories on how conservation efforts are in place to protect the birds in their natural habitat.
