Turner Classic Movies to Update The Great Movie Ride

Hollywood Studios is in line for yet another makeover. Reports of The Great Movie Ride’s demise have been greatly exaggerated.  Disney and Turner Classic Movies are teaming up to refresh classic MGM/Hollywood Studios ride. According to the New York Times, TCM will update the queue and finale montages along with adding the network’s logo as part of a sponsorship deal for the attraction. TCM is injecting what executives call “brand authority” into the ride by showcasing the networks’ on-air talent (Robert Osborne) in the pre-show and finale vignettes. Early Quarter 2015 is when the expected changes will take place.
