Review: Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros

¿Dónde Está Donald Duck? The Three Caballeros (Donald Duck, Panchito Pistoles and Jose Carioca) are set to perform in Mexico and Donald has gone missing. Who can blame him with all those margaritas around? Join Panchito and Jose as they search all around Mexico for him. Gran Fiesta Tour is basically a layover of the old El Rio del Tiempo ride. Visuals have been spruced up and Disney characters added.

Three Cabellros

The Low Down:

Opened: April 6, 2006 (replaced El Rio del Tiempo)

Location: Epcot – World Showcase – Mexico

Type: Boat ride

Length: 7 minutes

FastPass: No. The build-up can be heavy at times but the wait usually is not longer than 15 minutes.

Kid Factor: Low. Even with Donald Duck as the star, no one is really crowding to get on this attraction.

Highlights: Ride your boat past diners at San Angel Inn. Fireworks celebration at the end. It does offer a great tour of Mexico, even if animated characters are singing and dancing around. Plus if the wait line is long, you can always grab a margarita at La Cava del Tequila.

Overall: It’s a mix of It’s a Small World and the defunct If You Had Wings. If the line is short, jump on the ride. It does offer visually beautiful scenes throughout the attraction. Not a must ride unless you’re a big fan of Donald Duck.

Final Verdict: 3 Out of 5 Stars

Theresa has been a life-long Disney fan since she first visited the Magic Kingdom in 1985 at the age of 3. According to her mother, she squealed with excitement when she saw Winnie the Pooh and Chip n' Dale for the first time. That love for Disney has not waned as she grew up. She continues to be fascinated with the history of EPCOT Center and maintains the radio station, Kungaloosh Radio.
