The Dark Side Comes to WDW

One year after Disneyland launched their inaugural run of the Star Wars Half Marathon, Walt Disney World is joining in the intergalactic fun run. Choose your side wisely! Each park has been designated either the Light Side (Disneyland) or the Dark Side (Walt Disney World).

The events will include a new Star Wars kids’ race, a 5K, a 10K and a half marathon. The adventurous types can participate in both the 10k and half marathon for the special Star Wars Dark Side Challenge and receive a Death Star medal. There are also planned special events, medals, merchandise and other activities.

The races will take place April 14-17, 2016. Race registration opens September 22 at runDisney

Theresa has been a life-long Disney fan since she first visited the Magic Kingdom in 1985 at the age of 3. According to her mother, she squealed with excitement when she saw Winnie the Pooh and Chip n' Dale for the first time. That love for Disney has not waned as she grew up. She continues to be fascinated with the history of EPCOT Center and maintains the radio station, Kungaloosh Radio.
