Dean Jones Passes Away at Age 84

Disney Legend Dean Jones, passed away on September 1 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was 84.

His Disney film credits include The Love Bug, That Darn Cat, Snowball Express, The Ugly Dachshund, The $1,000,000 Duck, Monkeys, Go Home!, The Horse in the Gray Flannel Suit and Blackbeard’s Ghost among others. He also made numerous Disney television appearances as well.

“When you think of Disney, you think of Dean Jones,” said former president of Walt Disney Pictures David Vogel. Dean Jones was inducted as a Disney Legend in 1995.

Jones is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lory Basham Jones, three children, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
