Morimoto Asia Grand Opening Date

Chef Masaharu Morimoto and Patina Restaurant Group have set a grand opening date of September 30, 2015 for the pan-Asian restaurant, Morimoto Asia.

The two story structure will feature a sushi bar, lounges, dining spaces and an exhibition kitchen area. There will be a separate entrance for the sushi bar and lounge. The restaurant is occupying the former space of Mannequins club.

Menu items will include moo shu pork, Peking duck, lobster chow fun, sweet and sour crispy whole fish, and spicy kung pao chicken all with a twist from Chef Morimoto. Dim sum specialties such as dumplings, shumai, bao and spare ribs are planned to be offered on the weekends.  The lounges and dining area will feature special sushi rolls and platters. Daily sushi specials are planned to be served in the the 14 seat sushi bar as well.

I am excited to create a menu that allows so many of my favorite Asian flavors to come alive all in one place,” said Chef Masaharu Morimoto.

Morimoto Asia will operate daily from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 a.m., serving lunch, dinner and weekend dim sum brunch.

The restaurant will start accepting reservations via Open Table on Sept. 16. On September 30th, guests may call the restaurant directly at 407-560-6686. Disney’s dining line will accept phone reservations beginning November 1.

Kungaloosh Radio

Theresa has been a life-long Disney fan since she first visited the Magic Kingdom in 1985 at the age of 3. According to her mother, she squealed with excitement when she saw Winnie the Pooh and Chip n' Dale for the first time. That love for Disney has not waned as she grew up. She continues to be fascinated with the history of EPCOT Center and maintains the radio station, Kungaloosh Radio.
