Let’s Find All Figment’s Brush With the Masters Locations

If it’s Epcot’s Festival of the Arts, you know there’s going to be plenty of Figment and beautiful works of arts. And Figment can’t help to insert himself into a few pieces.

Like every year, we enjoy searching for those masterpieces around World Showcase. So without further ado, let’s search for Figment’s Brush With the Masters: 2024 edition.

To start, you’ll have to pay for a map at any of the major stores in Epcot:

  • Gateway Gifts
  • Creations Shop
  • Port of Entry
  • World Traveller
  • Disney Traders

There are even maps at the various kiosks around World Showcase.

One again, the map is $9.99, but you can get an AP or DVC discount. It is shaped like an artist’s palette; you just pull off the artwork stickers and match them to the corresponding pavilion.

After you fill out the map, you can pick a prize. But if you’re like me, just claim your prize when you purchase the map (that’s why there’s a complete stamp). Sometimes, the prizes do “sell” out, especially the Figment ones.

With the Brush with the Masters, there are four paint-your-own figurines. You can choose Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Figment this year. Any guesses about which one I chose?

You want to look for paintings that have the special Figment gilded frame. Yes, Figment will be placed in a somewhat famous painting by a master. These paintings can be located anywhere, but we noticed that a lot are near checkout registers. And they mixed up a couple of locations, too.

Mexico

Usually, this painting was located in the La Tienda Encantada. But Disney was a little sneaky this year. If you head towards La Cava de Tequila, the painting is located to the left of the entrance (on a side wall.)

Look by the EXIT sign…

Right off to the side…

There’s our Figgy!

Landscape Near the Volcano Figment features Figment’s head in the smoke above the volcano. This painting was inspired by Johann Moritz Rugendas’ Vista del Volcán Colima.

Norway

Last year, the painting was located in The Fjording.  However, it has moved for this festival…in a less congested spot.

Enter The Fjoring and “hi” to everyone’s favorite troll. Now look to your left.

The painting is above a shelf for fuzzy blankets and other goods.

Over the Falls is a callback to Maelstrom and Norwegian tapestries, and Figment is taking the plunge. Now back over the falls, and let’s hunt down a few more paintings.

China

This Figment painting is outside and a super easy spot. Walk all the way back to the House of Good Fortune towards the end of the pavilion.

Just before you reach the shop. Take a look at the two red pillars to the right.

Once again, Figment shares a meal in The Ox and The Dragon. This painting is inspired by The Picture of the Spring Ox.

Germany

The German painting has a new location. No longer in Volkskunst Clocks and Crafts, Figment is spending time with the beer steins in the Stein Haus.

Walk inside and look to your right. Figment is next to the registers.

Figment is back in The Heart of All Creation, with Figment taking the place of Cupid.

Italy

If there’s one thing you can count on: Figment will be the Mona Lisa and placed in the Enoteca Castello. Now if you enter the building with the main signage, you will want to head to the right by the registers.

Or you can also walk through the side doors to the right of the main entrance. Either way, Figment is located right behind the main registers.

There he is: Figment is Mona Figment as a play on Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa

American Adventure

When you are in the American Adventure pavilion, head into the Art of Disney, towards the registers.

Figment is taking the place of Nathanael Greene in The Dragon Crossing the Delaware.

This take on Emanuel Leutze’s Washington Crossing the Delaware just above the lightboxes by the registers.

Japan

Typically, Figment will be located in the Mitsukoshi Department Store. But not this year! You might have a little difficulty trying to find Figment in Japan.

As a change of pace, this painting is located outside. You will want to go behind the staircase for Teppan Edo and Sushi.

Don’t go into Mitsukoshi for this one.

Walk behind the stairs

And you’ll find Figment catching The Waves of Inspiration in a rendition of Katsushika Hokusai’s The Great Wave of Kanagawa inspired this painting.

Morocco

Morocco’s next, and we know that there are a few places for Figment to hang out.

Unfortunately, half the places in this pavilion are closed. Like last year, let’s head to the Brass Bazaar.

Take a peek over the doorway by the registers.

A Figment abstract can be found in the Pigments of Figment, which is similar to the Zellij tile patterns.

France

Last year, I ordered this piece for my home (and have yet to hang it up, but that’s another story.) For this year, Figment is in a new location.

Head to Les Halles and look to your right (by the registers).

Figment is back in Claude Monet’s Waterlily Pond: Green Harmony. Reflections of Imagination

Maybe when I actually get my print framed, it will look this nice.

United Kingdom

If you want to find this Figment, he’s back in the window of The Toy Soldier.

Figment is back as The Blue Boy in Thomas Gainsborough’s piece.

The glare was extremely bad, so here’s a look from last year.

Canada

And finally, Canada! For this one, head to the Trading Post Refreshments for this painting.

Walk inside and look left, just above the Coke cooler.

You can’t put Baby in a corner, but apparently, Figment is okay with it. Figgy is back in the Emily Carr-inspired Dreamers’ Woods.

Yeah, we have come to the end! Some paintings have changed spots this year, so keep an eye out for those Figments around World Showcase.

Have you tried to find Figment or is this a pass? Let me know in the comments.

Kungaloosh Radio

Theresa has been a life-long Disney fan since she first visited the Magic Kingdom in 1985 at the age of 3. According to her mother, she squealed with excitement when she saw Winnie the Pooh and Chip n' Dale for the first time. That love for Disney has not waned as she grew up. She continues to be fascinated with the history of EPCOT Center and maintains the radio station, Kungaloosh Radio.
