Toddlin’ Around on a Dapper Day Afternoon

I swear was just trying I take a week break from the parks…

And yet, I ended up at Magic Kingdom on a late afternoon. I wanted to take it easy for the weekend, but the parks, they called me.

And so did the Dapper Dans. Give them a dollar! Hey, it was Dapper Day too! So kinda appropriate.

Since it was late in the day, and we had not ate lunch, we ended up at Pinocchio’s Village Haus.

With a flatbread all-meat pizza, and yes, hot tomato soup. What else to eat on a 90 degree afternoon?

I don’t really eat here, but still a cute details with plenty of details to check out.

After lunch, I needed a Dumbo. Now here’s a tip, if you want your Flying Elephant to soar, you have to hold the lever in the up position.

I see too many people not hold it up and then give the CM a dirty look. Don’t jiggle it! 😅 It’ll take a moment, and then you can soar.

For a quick visit, we sure did a lot of attractions. Mickey’s Philharmagic was next.

If you have a scooter, you get a private entrance.

Almost showtime.

We finally sat at the right angle to see Donald’s hiney in the wall.

We moseyed over to Frontierland and the Shootin’ Gallery. There’s rumors going around it might be going away for a DVC lounge. Ugh!

Just in time for the Hoedown. Sometime in the afternoon, the Cast Members and a few characters will dance in the middle of Frontierland.

Of course, we had to check on progress for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Now I wasn’t a big fan of Splash Mountain, and I think the changes were unnecessary. But, the area is really nice, even if there’s a grassy bayou in the middle of Frontierland.

Check out the windows near the gift shop.

Since it was hot, time for a cool treat. I Lava You float has orange dole whip (not citrus swirl) and Fanta strawberry soda, with Pop Rocks. My was melting so you get an after shot.

We were finishing up, so one last stop through Cinderella Castle.

I love the mosaics. Unfortunately, people passing through don’t bother to look or are too busy and mow you down in their way to the exit.

And that’s a wrap on an our short visit.

It was a slightly hot, very dapper, and crowded afternoon. But we fit a lot in a couple of hours.

One last look at the Castle…

Until next time…
