Memorial Day & Richard M. Sherman Special Programming

First of all, we want to take time to honor and remember all of those who sacrificed to protect our freedom. So we salute you!

And we also want to honor the life and career of Richard M. Sherman. Along with his brother, Robert, they created some of the most beloved Disney songs. If you want to learn more, check out this check out this.

I attended an event in Chicago with him, and Mr. Sherman was the kindest person I ever met. His stories about Walt, Annette Fununcello, and others really brought a tear to my eyes.

Along with that, we were treated to a mini concert of Winnie the Pooh, Feed the Birds, and it’s a small world. He even had a sense of humor about a story regarding a woman who sued after having to hear it’s a small world on replay.

Just a genuine person who embodied the spirit of Disney music. He will be missed.

For that reason, we’ll be honoring him with a 3 hour block of his music that still plays around the park.

Tune in starting at 12pm (Eastern).

Godspeed Mr. Sherman!
