Christmas Magic at the Magic Kingdom
Every year, we spend the last Saturday of the Christmas season to enjoy the holiday parade, decorations, and fireworks at the Magic Kingdom.
It is a nice way to soak up the holiday spirit before everything goes away. Plus, if you don’t want to buy a Very Merry party ticket, you get to see the same parade, fireworks, and stage show. But this only happens for a week at MK.
So, let’s check out some decorations…
Have no fear, the creepy dead-eye doll is still there.
I was trying to grab a pic of the toy solider, Castle, and tree without people walking by. This was the best I could do.
Now time for Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime parade. And guess what? We had Josh from ResortTV1 right next to us.
Here comes the band…
Let’s get started…
It’s Pluto with the opening character cavalcade.
Donald and Daisy.
Mary Poppins and Bert sticking their tongues out.
The Big Cheese himself.
Frozen takes center stage.
The sweetest part of the parade. It smells so good too!
Clarabelle comes in with the gingerbread cookies.
Ever since we spotted the secret switch on the floor that pops out the cookies, we’re always on the lookout for when she presses it.
Goofy getting his groove on.
And now the princess section…
The little horses that you can actually see at Tri Circle D Ranch. They might not look happy here, but they are very well-cared for.
What everyone is waiting for… Tally! This Head Elf has been a TikTok sensation. He’s been going through the crowds and telling you whether you’re on the nice or naughty list.
Well, we had a little magic happen…
My Mom decided to make the hand motion of writing her own list, and that caught the attention of Tally.
And guess what happened? ResortTV1 captured it all.
That’s me! I’m Theresa, and I’m apparently on the NICE list. Who knew!
I couldn’t believe it! I was totally star struck. And I even fist-bumped Josh as well.
Of course, I didn’t film it myself. But at least it will live on with the live stream.
At this point, I don’t even know what’s going on because I’m in awe. Here were the Toy Story section…
One of my favorite parts: the Toy Soliders…
And my other favorite part: Santa’s Reindeer.
I even got a high-five from the reindeer, so it was a real banner day.
To finish off the parade, Santa himself, wishing everyone a Happy New Year.
Now I was park hopping. With the end of the month, all the festivities start coming to an end – that includes Epcot. I had plans to go tomorrow, but the weather wasn’t looking good. Instead, I had the bright idea to get over to Epcot, grab a few Linzer cookies, and head back.
Off to the next adventure…
Cookies are secured.
This place is placed! Grand Fiesta Tour was out of the temple. Yikes!
Since I bought a boatload of cookies, I had enough stamps to pick up another prize. Now you can choose the mix to make your own cookies or get a premade set.
I’m done baking for the year.
The whole round trip via monorail took me about an hour and half. We grab dinner at Pinocchio’s and then spend the rest of the night enjoying some festive decorations.
Like the Tomorrowland Speedway.
For fireworks, the plan was to stand by the train station, but the tree was blocking the view. So, we went further into the crowd and ran into Josh again.
It was a great spot to enjoy the fireworks. But no photos, I just wanted to enjoy the moment.
You can check out Josh’s video here:
After the crush of humanity, we made it to the Jingle Cruise… with a 15 minute wait. I couldn’t say no to that.
And to top off the night, a I Lava You float.
We just walked around and tried to take in the atmosphere. I still can’t believe this will be cemented over for a Cars ride. It really breaks my heart.
One last holiday look at Cinderella Castle.
And the decor…
And that’s a wrap for the 2024 holiday season. It was fun but too hectic. And I still don’t get to all the resorts to check out their holiday decorations. Ugh! Maybe next year. I need a better plan in place.
That’s it for tonight. Until next time…
