A Quick Day at Flower and Garden

Can you believe it has been a whole month since we’ve been to Epcot? With all the Easter stuff, we just didn’t have time to head over.

But we have a few important things to do, like check out the second menu at Farmers Feast.

So, let’s get started with a look at the flower blanket by the Imagination Pavilion.

It is supposed to be a hot day, so I wanted to hit the Yacht Club booth early in the day. Right at 11 am, I got the Seafood Boil. I have a thing about getting seafood early in the day because in my mind it is fresher.

The boil was pretty good. You get a big portion, but the white wine sauce was very overpowering. It tasted like a big ol’ glass of wine went into the water.

My favorite part of Flower and Garden is the floating flower baskets and blankets.

I wish Epcot looked like this all year!

Sometimes, you can get an Uncrustable. Today, they were serving either raspberry or strawberry.

The cart is a little hidden this year. You have to really look for it.

Checking out Pluto and Mickey!

The flowers are really blooming.

Now Farmers Feast.

The Springtime Menu has Seared Pork Tenderloin with Corn Risotto and a Corn Cookie with Corn Soft Serve.

Another look at Spike.

Here’s the pork tenderloin l. It was very tender but super salty. The risotto was cooked to perfection and had a wonderful flavor. Is it okay to lick the bowl?

The corn cookie was okay. I would not have known it was corn-flavored until I saw the chunks of corn in the ice cream.

More random shots of Communicore Hall.

I love the big topiary in the middle! That’s my boy, Spike!

A few more moments to soak up the air conditioning.

Time for more snacks! Everyone has been raving about the dips at the Beach Club booth. So we’re going to try them out.

Along with that, I also ordered the wine spritzer sample. As the Cast Member said, “the baby and mama samples.”

The dips were good. You have a trio of feta, garlic, and pimento cheese with house-made chips.

The wines were a lemon, orange, and elderberry flavors. They were really watered down, so it was like drinking fizzy water. Kinda a disappointment!

Now it was time to hit World Showcase. We’re trying to get everything done before the hottest part of the day hits.

So on to the United Kingdom with the Eeyore ears in the Winnie the Pooh shop.

And a guard standing tall.

This is a hidden flower display as you across from the United Kingdom to France.

It can be hard to get a good shot.

Since we are in France, let’s have a look at the French Bouquet garden.

It looks a little different from a few weeks ago.

I don’t know if it was the alcohol from the spritzers or the actual Florida heat, but it was getting unbearable out.

We decided to dip into the American Adventure pavilion to cool off. And after an hour, a decision was made to start heading out. Plus, it was the Springtime Dapper Day. Usually, the good dapper people were nice and courteous, but today, they were very entitled and pushy. What happened?

We made our way through the crowds and stopped by Port of Entry.

I think I’m in love with these shirts. I definitely need a Germany one.

Another pass by Chip and Dale. It’s hard to get a nice shot because PhotoPass is always set up in this spot.

One more stop: the manatees. I haven’t really seen them since Epcot has taken on more rehabilitation efforts.

They were munching on romaine.

Bye for now Figgy!

And that was a wrap! It was a little toasty and the crowds started building up. The great thing about being a local is that you can head in for a few hours and leave.

That’s it for now! Until next time…

According to her mother, she squealed with excitement when she saw Winnie the Pooh and Chip n' Dale for the first time. That love for Disney has not waned as she grew up. She continues to be fascinated with the history of EPCOT Center and maintains the radio station, Kungaloosh Radio.
