Fantasyland

Welcome to the enchanting world of Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom, situated behind the majestic Cinderella Castle in the northernmost area. This area is perfect for the young and young at heart, evoking a fairytale charm with its castle courtyard atmosphere.

You can marvel at the castle’s mosaic murals, ride a magical carousel horse, sit on a flying elephant, pull a sword from a stone, or fly over the rooftops of London.

New Fantasyland offers visitors the chance to meet a mermaid or dance with Belle in her enchanted home, along with two additional majestic castles, Beast’s Castle and Prince Eric’s Castle.

Attractions and Entertainment

At one time, Fantasyland just consisted of a small land in the park. But, after the refurbishment in 2012, there are two new sections: The Enchanted Forest and Storybook Circus.

Old Fantasyland

  • Cinderella Castle – Standing tall at a height of 190 feet, the magnificent Cinderella Castle is a symbol of the enchanting Disney magic that awaits you.
  • Prince Charming Regal Carrousel – Experience the timeless delight of the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel, which was built in 1917 and continues to captivate guests of all ages with its ornate design and charming horses.
  • Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire – Join Mickey Mouse and a host of other beloved Disney characters in a lively show at the Castle Forecourt. This enchanting performance is sure to leave you with a smile on your face and a skip in your step.
  • Fairytale Garden – Nestled behind the iconic Cinderella Castle, this charming garden invites you to take photos and chat with Mirabel Madrigal.
  • “it’s a small world” – Embark on a musical boat journey around the world, as you’re greeted by hundreds of whimsical dolls and creatures, all singing the famous song in their native languages. Don’t forget to look for the hidden Disney characters! 
  • Mad Tea Party – Hop on a giant teacup and spin your way around a giant teapot in this whimsical ride, inspired by the classic tale “Alice in Wonderland.” You can control how fast or slow you spin, so hold on tight and have fun! 
  • Mickey’s PhilharMagic – Join the one and only Donald Duck on an unforgettable 3D adventure through some of Disney’s most iconic musical scenes. Sing along with the beloved characters and enjoy stunning special effects in this magical movie experience. 
  • The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh – Step into the Hundred Acre Wood and hop aboard a honey pot for a delightful journey through the pages of A.A. Milne’s classic stories. Bounce with Tigger, see the Heffalumps and Woozles, and help Pooh find his beloved honey in this family-friendly ride. 
  • Peter Pan’s Flight – Take flight on a pirate ship and soar over London’s skyline and into the magical world of Neverland, where you’ll join Peter Pan and the Lost Boys on their epic adventure against Captain Hook and his crew. Enjoy the stunning scenery and special effects in this classic ride.

The Enchanted Forest

  • Ariel’s Grotto: Meet Ariel in her mermaid form. The grotto is themed to resemble the underwater world of Atlantica.
  • Enchanted Tales with Belle: Take an interactive storytelling experience where guests enter Maurice’s cottage and are magically transported to Beast’s castle. Here, they participate in a re-enactment of “Beauty and the Beast” with Belle, Lumiere, and other characters.
  • Seven Dwarfs Mine Train: Go on a swaying journey through the diamond mine where the Seven Dwarfs work. The ride features a mix of gentle swaying, mild thrills, and detailed animatronics of the Dwarfs singing “Heigh-Ho.”
  • Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid: Journey through scenes from Disney’s “The Little Mermaid,” featuring beloved characters and songs from the film. Guests travel in clam shell-shaped vehicles through undersea environments and vibrant sets.
Choo-Choose Storybook Circus

Storybook Circus

  • Casey Jr. Splash ‘n’ Soak Station: Cool down in this water play area themed after Casey Jr., the train from “Dumbo.” Kids can enjoy the sprays and mists from various circus animals, including elephants, monkeys, and camels.
  • The Barnstormer Featuring the Great Goofini: Take a ride On this coaster is themed around Goofy’s daredevil antics as “The Great Goofini.” The ride offers mild thrills suitable for younger children and takes guests on a whimsical flight above Storybook Circus.
  • Dumbo the Flying Elephant: Take flight on this classic Disney attraction where guests can soar high on Dumbo’s back. Storybook Circus features two Dumbo rides, complete with an interactive play area in the queue to keep kids entertained while they wait.
  • Pete’s Silly Sideshow: Meet Disney characters dressed in circus-themed costumes. Meet The Great Goofini (Goofy), The Amazing Donaldo (Donald Duck), Minnie Magnifique (Minnie Mouse), and Madame Daisy Fortuna (Daisy Duck).
  • Fantasyland Train Station: Board a train at this stop for the Walt Disney World Railroad. Guests can take a scenic train ride around the Magic Kingdom, with stops in Main Street, U.S.A., and Frontierland.

 

 

Dining

In Fantasyland, you can enjoy:

  • Cinderella Castle hosts a sit-down restaurant, Cinderella’s Royal Table, where you can dine in grandeur for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Guests can also enjoy a character meal during breakfast and lunch, but it is important to note that reservations are required.
  • Cheshire Cafe, previously known as Enchanted Grove, is a small stand that serves refreshing slushies and soft drinks.
  • Friar’s Nook offers chicken nuggets, hot dogs, salad, snacks, and drinks for visitors to indulge in.
  • Pinocchio Village Haus is a counter service restaurant that features sandwiches, salads, and soft drinks.

The Enchanted Forest is home to several dining options, including:

  • Be Our Guest Restaurant offers an immersive dining experience inside Beast’s castle. Guests can dine in one of three themed rooms: the Grand Ballroom, the West Wing, or the Castle Gallery, each meticulously designed to reflect scenes from “Beauty and the Beast.”
  • Gaston’s Tavern is a themed quick-service restaurant styled after Gaston’s rustic tavern from “Beauty and the Beast.” Guests can enjoy snacks and beverages, including the popular LeFou’s Brew and giant cinnamon rolls.
  • Prince Eric’s Village Market offers fresh fruit, snacks, beverages, and turkey legs.
