Review: Liberty Square Riverboat
Board the Liberty Belle for a long and slow cruise down the Rivers of America. The ride takes you past Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Railroad, Tom Sawyer Island and the Haunted Mansion. Good ol’ Mark Twain narrates as you go around and around. Okay just one “around.”
The Low Down:
Opened: October 2, 1971
Location: Liberty Square
Type: Slow Boat Ride
Length: 17 minutes
FastPass: No
Kid Factor: Medium, may have the rambunctious ones challenge you for prime viewing spots along the rails or upper deck.
Highlights: The best time to view this is when it’s dark because everything is better at night. Seeing Frontierland and Tom Sawyer Island lit up is somewhat spooky and also pretty awesome. Plus there’s less crowds on the boat. But that time frame maybe a challenge because this attraction likes to close early.
Overall: Takin’ an old timey riverboat cannot be beat. It also gives an opportunity for great views of the park (Frontierland, Liberty Square) and to scope out lines at various attractions for your next plan of attack.
Final Verdict: 3 out of 5
