All Roads Lead to EPCOT

Oh look, we’re back at Epcot! After the rush of Easter, it was time to stroll around and enjoy some of the bites at Flower and Garden.

Starting off with the obligatory shot of Spaceship Earth.

Of course, the next stop was Creations, where the Figment Lug and the cornhole game for Spike the Bee’s scavenger hunt were back in stock.

As we moved through World Celebration/Future World, we found this trinket… is it a pixie dusted gift?

And then, this contraption.

It’s part of Defying Gravity’s Forces of Nature show. I’ve heard things about this performance…

Interesting? Hmm, I don’t know about this one. Here’s a look at the full show:

Anyway, it’s time to enjoy more of the Flower and Garden. And look at those views. The flowers are in full bloom.

And how to kick off breakfast? I felt fancy and went with the lobster tail and strawberry shortcake.

Of course, we checked out Woody and Bo-Peep. They been hidden in the corner with the walkway under construction. Thankfully, those walls came down.

Getting a picture before everyone crowds around the Big Cheese.

The Uncrustables are still going strong!

Now I haven’t tasted the Frozen Violet Lemonade all festival. What’s wrong with me? Well, we fixed that.

Always a good choice! It even tasted better than previous years. A little sweet and tart. Plus, the flowers didn’t look like they melted in the heat. A+ for presentation!

We were kinda switching back and forth. So somehow we ended back but Goofy. I swear everything we seen him, he looks different. I think Disney horticulture keeps adding things to his display, like the dandelions.

Unlike past years, I’ve really been focusing on the gardens. When there’s food, these beauties get lost in the excitement. The Songbird Meadow is a cute garden showcasing the native birds. I never knew that cardinals lived this far south. We have a pair that flutter around our home.

I was kinda bummed that I missed the first menu of the season, but let’s look at this month’s offerings.

The Seared Scallop and Tomato Risotto was ability fantastic. The sauce was rich but paired well with the perfectly cooked scallop.

The Grilled Street Corn was just okay. Nothing bad, nothing fantastic. Just basic grilled corn.

Shoutout to the Cast Member who has to work over a hot grill in the Florida heat.

More moseyinga round. This time we ended down by the International Gateway. While that’s a cute gift shop, it gets super crowded. Yikes! But hey, we saw a pretty nice not-so hidden Mickey.

Can you see it?

After that, we headed up to France. What is visit to Paree without a Croissant au Fromage de Chèvre, Herbes et ail Rôtie (Croissiant with goat cheese and garlic.) This little croissant impressed meat. It was actually fresh, buttery, and filled with a delightful blend of creamy goat cheese and garlic. Oh man! Score: 8

For some reason, Mom decided she needed a Chef Remy.

On to the worst thing of the fest…The Impossoble Jamaican Beef Patty with Papaya sauce. I’ve never had a Jamaican beef patty, but is it supposed to have an overpowering curry taste. Not a hint of curry, but a whole slap in the face. That’s al I could taste.

And the impossible meat was dry. Score: -1

Well after that disappointment, we check out more of the gardens.

Italy

Germany’s fairy houses

As we were winding down, it was time for another snack. Another favorite – the Spicy Mala Chicken Skewers and Crab Rangoon.

I grabbed the food in China den headed back to the tables in the African Outpost. Did you know these were here?

Just over the wall, you can find a few boats on the shores. Like true explorers.

We also enjoyed another event: the parade of barges for IllumiNations, I mean, Luminous.

They even play the old Parade music! Squee!

If you want to nerd out, here is an expanded view:

My favorite: The Tropical Rainforest in Mexico.

Finally, time for dessert! This is the Chocolate Mousse Terrarium with Matcha Crumble and Chocolate Soil. It started out creamy and chocolaty. But as we are more, it was really chalky. The plant based Cookies and Cream at the Sunshine Seasons is an excellent dessert. This one wasn’t quite it.

After some of our disappointing festival options, we were done with the food. As we left World Showcase, we said “Hi” to the Madrigal familia.

Yes, one more view for the day.

Before we left, I wanted to check out the. USA Cardholder Photo Lounge. There are different characters throughout the day.

Who will we get?

Goofy and Mickey! Yes, Mickey loved Chef Remy and we the little chef fell of my Mom’s shoulders, Mickey had to put his hands over his eyes.

After that, it was time to start heading out. But first, to infinity and beyond.

Groot was actually playing his mixtape. We kept missing it every time we go.

Groot is accompanied by his retro neon bees. Pssst… they light up at night.

If you know this building, we can be friends. Wonder if anything will ever happen to it?

One last “Bye” to Donald for the night.

And a Russian Sprite for the road. За здоровье!

Until next time…
