Your Ultimate Guide to the 2020 Flower and Garden Festival

EPCOT’s International Flower and Garden Festival is almost here, and we couldn’t be more excited. There’s plenty of food, flowers, and fun for the whole family. Here’s your guide to all the festival offerings and what you can expect at this annual event.

 


Dates

March 4 – June 1

You can enjoy the Flower and Garden Festival with your admission to EPCOT.


Dining Packages

The Garden Rocks Concert Series Dining Package is back. You can book breakfast, lunch, or dinner at one of the participating restaurants to guarantee a seat at one of the concert performances for that day.

Entertainment

You can move your feet to some of the best throwback bands during this year’s festival. All the concerts will take place at the America Gardens Theatre in the American Adventure Pavilion. Concert times are 5:30, 6:45 and 8 PM, and they are included with your EPCOT admission.

If the food and flowers weren’t enough to keep you occupied, then there are a few fun activities around EPCOT.

 


Egg-Stravaganza

The Egg-Stravaganza will return from March 27 – April 12. You can purchase a map and stickers for $7.99 (plus tax) and go on the hunt for character eggs through the World Showcase Pavilions. Once the map is completed (or not), you can exchange it at Disney Traders for a surprise.

 

 

Spike’s Pollen Nation Exploration

You can follow the trail of Spike as he pollinates the festival. This activity is another map that you fill out as you search for flowers the Spike has pollinated. The maps are also $7.99 (plus tax). When you are finished, you will get another surprise gift.  For the Egg-Stravaganza and Spike maps, you can purchase them at Mouse Gear, World Traveler, and some Outdoor Markets.

Garden Graze

If you love the cookie strolls, then you will not want to miss the Garden Graze. This is a plant-based food stroll through several of the Festival Market booths. The items include:

  • Flavor Full Kitchen: Garden Baby Vegetables with Hummus Cream and Red Pepper Coulis
  • Bauernmarkt: Farmer’s Market: Potato Pancakes with House-made Apple Sauce
  • Trowel and Trellis: Impossible™ Farmhouse Meatball with Lentil Bread, Spinach, Marinated Vegetables, and Creamy Herb Dressing
  • Refreshment Outpost: Pineapple Skewer with Tajin Seasoning
  • Florida Fresh: Watermelon Cucumber Slushy 

When you are finished, you can grab a Mango-Lime Dole Whip Drink in a souvenir glass, which can be used as a terrarium, and a packet of seeds.

Like any good festival, there will be plenty of merch that you will want to load up for this event.  This year is focusing on your all-time favorites, like the Orange Bird and Minnie Mouse.  There are also some exclusive foodie items that you will not want to miss. The Orange Bird Sipper is back, and he’s bringing his friend, Spike the Bee along too. That sipper will “bee” available at the Honey Bee-stro. You can also find Spike the Bee reusable sporks for purchase at select Outdoor Kitchens.

Passholder Exclusives:

Passholders can get some exclusive merch on March 4, including the popular watering can mugs. On April 20, you can also grab two additional designs with Figment and Spike the Bee.

 

Disney Parks Wishables:

2020 EPCOT International Flower and Garden will feature a special collection of Wishables, featuring the open-chase edition of Mickey Mouse, with Minnie Mouse, Frushi, Figment Topiary and Butterfly in the blind bags.

 

 


Passholder Discounts

Passholders will be able to use their 20% discount on merchandise. Here are some other AP perks for the festival.

 

 

Passholder-Exclusive Magnets

Passholders can pick up two exclusive magnets for the event. Donald Duck with Spike the Bee will be available from March 4 – April 19, while you can grab the Orange Bird from April 20 – June 1. You can get both magnets at the relocated Mouse Gears location. 

Discounted Garden Rocks Concert Series Packages

Passholders can get 10% off dining packages for this year’s concert series.

Discounted Tours 

For those APs wanting to take the Behind the Seeds or Gardens of the World tours, you can get a 15% discount.

 


Tours

The Royal Tea Garden Tour offers you the opportunity to learn about the origins of your favorite teas. The tours kick off 9:30 AM daily, and you can sample scones and tea at the end. The price is $20 per person, and you can book by calling 407-WDW-TOUR to book.

The complimentary English Tea Garden Tour is also coming back. These tours take place every Monday through Thursday at 3:30 PM and 5:00 PM. For Friday and Sunday, the schedule is different with tours at 1:00 PM, 3:30 PM, and 5:00 PM. You can sign up at The  Tea Caddy, but space is limited.

Gardens of the World: This 3-hour tour is conducted by a Disney horticulturist. You will learn about the different plants and topiaries in Future World and World Showcase, and how the landscaping is incorporated into theming.  The cost is $85.00 (plus tax) per person, and reservations are highly recommended. The tours take place on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays between 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM during the event. 

 

Behind the Seeds: This tour is one hour, and you will get an up-close look at the greenhouse and fish farm from the Living with the Land attraction. The price is $25 per adult ($20 per child). You can book ahead or head to the Tour Desk at the lower level of the Land Pavilion to see if tours are available.

Kungaloosh Radio

Theresa has been a life-long Disney fan since she first visited the Magic Kingdom in 1985 at the age of 3. According to her mother, she squealed with excitement when she saw Winnie the Pooh and Chip n' Dale for the first time. That love for Disney has not waned as she grew up.
