Disney Week in Review: March 13, 2020

This week at Walt Disney World: Things are still breaking down and the coronavirus is causing concerns around the property. Let’s look at the news around the World for the second week of March.

Cinderella, Cinderella: The Magic Kingdom’s iconic castle is just starting to get a touch of royal blue to the turrets. There are numerous cranes sprucing up the castle. All the work should be completed by the summer.

 


 

More Breakdowns: As you know, The Haunted Mansion was down for the majority of last week. It was up and running, but someone left the maintenance bay door open with the lights on. Guests were treated to an unexpected look at the Mansion.

Not To Be Left Out: The PeopleMover closed early on Monday, and it has been closed for the whole week. Cast Members aren’t saying when the attraction will reopen.

 


 

Calling All Choco-a-holics: The Riviera Resort and The Ganachery are teaming up to offer chocolate tasting classes. You can learn how to make ganache, along with an opportunity to make your very own chocolate truffle pops. Classes will take place on Sundays at 11 AM, and they will cost $60 per person. Reservations can be made by calling 407. WDW. PLAY.

 

 


WDW News Today

Coronavirus Precautions: The Walt Disney World Resort has placed hand washing stations throughout the parks. They are equipped with non-portable water, soap, and paper towels. Disney is also waiving cancellation fees for those who want to reschedule vacations.

Disneyland will be closed from Saturday through the end of the month. Walt Disney World will close Sunday through the end of March.
